We recently started exploring a bit further than just the city of Paris. This time we drove to Versailles for the palace. As we were late on getting tickets online due to poor weather, there were none available.

However, the palace grounds are free and it is massive. There were golf carts to rent to drive on the ground for those who find it difficult to walk the whole place. I had zero expectations when I got here but would have loved to do more research before arriving at this giant ground. It will be quite fitting to learn a bit more about the French monarchs.

I have my tickets booked and will be returning here in February to explore inside the palace.

This was my favourite water fountain in the gardens and as it was winter, most of the water feature wasn’t switched on.
