Thanks to Youtube’s recommendation, the song re-appeared in my memory. I can precisely recall when I first heard it but I recognised the chorus.

Ratu was an Indonesian musical duo that gained prominence in the early 2000s. The duo consisted of two members, Maia Estianty and Pinkan Mambo (later to be replaced by Mulan Jameela). Maia Estianty, also known as Maia Ahmad, is a singer, songwriter, and music producer who has been active in the Indonesian music industry since 1993. Mulan Jameela, on the other hand, is a singer who joined Ratu in 2004 following the departure of a previous member, Pinkan Mambo.

Ratu achieved significant popularity in Indonesia with their catchy and energetic songs. Some of their popular hits include “Teman Tapi Mesra” (Friends but Intimate), “Lelaki Buaya Darat” (Crocodile Land Man), and “Hanya Dia” (Only Him). Their music often incorporated elements of pop and dance, with powerful vocals and dynamic stage performances.

Unfortunately, Ratu underwent a change in lineup in 2007 when Mulaan decided to leave the group. Afterward, Maia Estianty chose to pursue her solo music career, and Ratu ceased to be active as a duo.
