Sheila on 7 is an Indonesian band that has captivated audiences with their infectious blend of pop, rock, and alternative sounds. Formed in Yogyakarta in 1996, the band quickly rose to prominence and became one of the most influential acts in the Indonesian music scene. Comprising vocalist Duta, guitarist Eross, bassist Adam, and drummer Brian, Sheila on 7 has gained a dedicated following with their catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and energetic performances. With numerous hit songs and successful albums under their belt, Sheila on 7 continues to be a beloved and iconic band, captivating listeners with their distinct sound and timeless music.

I first came accross them when they received airplay on MTV Asia and eventually become a bit bigger when they sang for the soundtrack of the Indonesian teen movie “30 Hari Mencari Cinta” (30 Days To Find Love). Although this song is the least popular in comparison to “Dan (And)” and “Melompat Lebih Tinggi (Jump Higher)”; “Seberapa Pantas (How Fast)” is my favourite track from the band.
