Centre Pompidou

We booked our free tickets for the first Sundays for the 11:15 slot. The musuem is only a short walk from Chatelet Les Halles. We frequent this station because there is a Lego store here.

Upon arrival, we join the growing queue according to our time slot. Upon passing security checks, we were welcomed in the grand foyer and made our way through the iconic escalators in the pipe like external structure to the 5th floor where the permanent displays were. My bag pack was too large to be permitted in and I had to put it aside in the complimentary lockers just next to the 5th floor entrance.

Gallery on the 4th Floor

The permanent displays were spread accross the 5th and 4th floors. There were majority paintings on the 5th floor and the kids eventually got bored as there were countless of rooms.

A Store Displayed

The fourth floor had more displays that were interactive and had tons of photo opportunities for the instagram generation. We didn’t finish visiting each room as the kids were getting hungry.

Remember, although it is free entry on the first Sundays of the month, pre-booking is required. Visit the official site to book your tickets and time slots.
