Staying in Australia, Tina Arena is my songstress of choice this week. Tina Arena is one of Australia’s highest selling artist with over 10 million records sold globally.

I can recall that this song was released in 1997 as I just began high school in Penang. I used to maintain my own weekly top 10 hits chart and pretended to be DJs counting down the tracks with a school mate that I have lost touched since.

I was also fortunate to see Tina Arena in the West End play of Chicago while working in London.

The song Burn peaked at 2 in her native country and made top 50 in the UK. The song was later re-released and sung by a country artist in 2000 and reached number 2 in the US Hot Country Songs.
