Teluk Intan

An unplanned detour on the way back from our Penang getaway was to stop by my Mother in Law’s hometown of Teluk Intan. This is another destination that I always wanted to visit when I was a child and what a great opportunity to do so. We did climb up the tower in the heat.

The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan is a leaning clock tower in Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia. It is the Malaysian equivalent of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It is 25 m (82 ft) and, from the outside, looks like an 8 storey building, though inside it is actually divided into 3 storeys. The tower was orginally built to store water during the dry season.
