I heard so much about the 4 episode documentary over social media and finally got to watch it. I am familiar with the shows All That, The Amanda Bynes Show & Drake & Josh which I watched while growing up on Nickelodeon. I used to dream being one of the cast members and thinking about the fame and fun that they must be enjoying being child stars. If only I knew back then what they were going through and also the struggles.

The show broke me for the past few days. I can’t stop thinking about the exploitation on kids beyond the entertainment industry that probably have gone unreported.

I also felt particularly guilty after being judgemental of child stars that have fallen from grace. I started thinking that I shouldn’t jump into conclusions as no one ever trully knows the back story.
