Kidzania Malaysia
A city for kids! I heard about Kidzania when it came to Malaysia and it reached the headlines in 2020 when the owner and operator of the Malaysian and Singaporean branch suffered major losses due to Co-Vid. Unfortunately, the Singapore center is permanently closed after only fours years in operation and fortunately the Malaysian one still operates today.
The concept is a city for kids to play pretend. They can do tasks that will earn them some credits and spend them on some activities or collectibles. All kids will get some credit with their ticket purchase and they are free to explore the city.
My kids participated in making chocolates, robotic assembly, being a vet and successfully delivering parcels and goods. There are some other popular activities like being a pilot, police, fire fighter and emergency services which we missed out on as we didn’t reserve our spots early enough.
As the whole city is indoors, it is not weather dependent and a good escape from the punishing heat. There are A&W, Subway, Tealive and other eateries in the venue. Some have paid activities for the kids to participate in.
The prices of the tickets were much more reasonable in comparison to the London Kidzania venue. So, if you have half a day to spare and in town, it is worth a visit. We will be back here again the next time we are back in town.
