Creedence Clearwater Revival – Have You Ever Seen The Rain
I am at the moment stuck at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam due to an on going storm causing strong winds. In between with catching up on work and trying to kill time, I decided to post song about weather.
This song is from Creedence Clearwater Revival, commonly known as CCR, was an iconic American rock band that left an indelible mark on the music scene of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Formed in El Cerrito, California, the band consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist John Fogerty, his brother Tom Fogerty on rhythm guitar, bassist Stu Cook, and drummer Doug Clifford. The group’s journey began in 1959 when they were just teenagers, initially performing under names like the Blue Velvets and the Golliwogs before settling on Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1967. CCR’s unique blend of roots rock, swamp rock, and rock ‘n’ roll, combined with John Fogerty’s distinctive voice and songwriting, propelled them to immense popularity. During their most successful period from 1969 to 1971, the band churned out an impressive string of hit singles and albums, including classics like “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son,” and “Bad Moon Rising”. Despite their relatively short time together, disbanding in 1972, Creedence Clearwater Revival’s impact on American music has been lasting, with their songs remaining staples on classic rock radio and their albums continuing to sell millions of copies worldwide.
