I was fortunate to be able to attend the Coachella of AWS in Las Vegas. It is a mix of a gathering, celebration, new product announcements, networking and festival of cloud enthusiasts

I was totally blown away. Gen AI was definately a re-occuring theme throughout the event.

I manage to attend 3 of the keynote sessions. You need to get in early in the queue to get a seat. The key highlight for me was the Dr Werner, CTO’s keynote which included presentations from Canva and TooGoodToGo which were platforms and products that I used. He even have a podcast.

The event was even better as I attended with my other colleagues and was hosted by partners. I even manage to meet with some other folks and participated in partner events.

As we got fed well, I even did join the community 5K run and have a medal to proof it.

The expo was another amazing experience but I was gutted that I didn’t win any lego from my event and was happy that my colleague did. There were tons of swags to collect throughout the event with majority being from the expo.

I did however miss the Re:Play event on Thursday evening which was a concert by Weezer and Zedd. It was such a shame but I will plan better next time.

I hope I will be able to attend again next year in person but if not, I will stream the content online.
