A Week In Marrakech
We decided to spend our holidays in Morroco. We have never been here before and thought it was a great experience for all. Selecting Club Med was an especially a good idea since it will have activities to keep the kids occupied and reduces the hassle of thinking about kid friendly activities to keep them occupied.
There are frequent shuttles from the resort to the old city and we did not miss the opportunity to head to the Souk almost every day. We enjoy looking at the leather goods, minerals, woven straw products, carpets and gemstones on offer. We bought tons of leather shoes and bags. The kids all got something too.
There were tons of roof bars around the old city and since it is a Unesco protected site, development here are strictly regulated. We visited one of the roof bars which gave us a different view of the city.
It was trully a learning experience, we squeezed in a haman session. Spent sometime with the herbalists to learn about local beauty products. Exposed ourselves to new food like Amlou (An Almond Spread with Argan Oil and Honey). After this experience, we definately would return to Morroco and most likely by ourselves and spending the night in one of the Riads.
I can’t wait to book our next family holiday after this experience.
