Arkarna – So Little Time
I was looking for a track that will represent my past couple of months. I can relate to the topic of the song, it feels like we have been having back to back activities. We probably could benefit from some small break to our hectic schedule.
So, back to the artist and track. Arkarna is an English electronic/rock band formed in the mid-1990s by programmer and vocalist Ollie Jacobs, known for blending cinematic, dancefloor-ready electronic beats with stadium-rock energy. The group gained recognition with their 1997 debut album Fresh Meat, which showcased their signature fusion of melodic hooks and BPM-driven production. Their track “So Little Time” became a standout hit, featuring introspective lyrics about longing to prioritize personal connections amid life’s chaos. The song served as the theme for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s TV show So Little Time and appeared in media like Friends and The OC, cementing its cultural footprint. Over the years, Arkarna’s lineup evolved, with Jacobs collaborating closely with guitarist Matt Hart to refine their genre-defying sound, described as a mix of “electro-pop” and “stadium-friendly rock”. Despite hiatuses, their music remains influential in bridging electronic and rock aesthetics.
