How Much Is Your Domain Worth?

Use this website to find out how much your domain name is worth. Apparently bennyong.com is only worth this much but regardless the price, I am never go to give up this domain. (at least this is what I have in mind now)

According to the site, my domain name is worth this much:

Dnscoop.com is something like Alexa’s free report but instead, it evaluates the value of your website. This should be a good tool to use when you are thinking about acquiring a domain name from a seller.

Besides giving you an overview of your website evaluation, it also suggests ways you can increase the income of your webpage.

Try this tool on your own domain name and find out how much it is worth.

BBC Click

After Tech TV bid farewell to our screens, I was in denial and desperately searching for a show that will replace it. It was not too long later that I found out about Click and have been quite a loyal follower.

To satisfy your thirst for technology, do watch BBC’s flagship technology program whereby you can stream the full episode online. It is a weekly program and my fave segment is Webscape whereby they showcase an average of 4 interesting and helpful websites.

It airs on a weekly basis and you can sometimes watch it on the in-flight entertainment system.

Just visit the website to find out more and stream one episode to see if it is your sort of cup of tea.

UK Based Web Hosting

I just launched a new website a couple of days behind. It is hostonfire.co.uk which is a sister site to hostonfire.com, a web hosting company. This are the same hosting company I use for all my sites which includes this blog.

Hostonfire.co.uk

Hostonfire.co.uk services uses servers based within the UK which will ensure speedy response to people who maintains a large European based web traffic.

I just wanted to do some marketing around about its existence as I just completed customizing it and creating the header today. I aim for this site to be as successful as Hostonfire.com.

Web hosting and designing was the first business I ever ventured in. The rest is history and I am still a strong believer that anyone can make money online.

Cheers,

Benny Ong

Farewell Party at Mojo

I joined my ex team at Mojo in the evening to bid farewell to a colleague that is moving department. We drove straight away at roughly 7.30 p.m. to be stuck in traffic for almost two hours because the SMART tunnel was in full operation and was closed. If this sounds odd to you, the SMART tunnel is a underground passage that was constructed to ease the traffic flow and also a flooding prevention mechanism. I believe it was featured in some Mega Structures documentary before.

Me and Arnold

We occupied a corner at Mojo just next to the DJ and drank the night away. When returning home, I experience my first ever road block whereby we were told to pull over. Luckily, Song Yia and me was sober. After a few check and verifications of our identity card, we were allowed to proceed where we head straight home.

Suprise Birthday Party @ Uptown Izzi

I attended a birthday party at Izzi in Uptown upon the extension of Song Yia’s invitation from Kimberly Cun. Although the weather was pretty bad, everyone seem to made it on time.

The event was attended by about 30 pax (just a very rough estimation) with an abundance of food.

Well, that’s all for now. Till my next post!

Yael Naim – New Soul

I am addicted to this song at the moment and it is currently looping on my player! It is used in Apple’s MacBook Air commercial whereby Steve Jobs selected the song himself!

A bit of introduction about the singer courtesy of wikipedia:

“Yael Naim was born in Paris in 1978 to Tunisian, Sephardi-Jewish parents. At the age of four, she moved with her family to Ramat HaSharon, Israel, where she spent her childhood and learned how to speak Hebrew. She served in Israel Defence Forces as a soloist in the Israel Air Force Orchestra.”

Cheers!

Back From Bangkok!

I just arrived home from KLIA LCCT about two hours ago. The Air Asia flight was delayed about two hours which was tiring. I will reposting the activities for the past week as I had no chance to log on during my week’s holiday in Thailand.

Here is the last picture I took from Suvarnabhumi Airport. It is a life size sculpture of one of the many Thai legends which never fail to amaze me.

I couldn’t be bothered to shave for the last three days in Thailand as the picture shows. This is because I am just tired and can’t wait to head back home.

I am glad to be back in KL and will be sharing a couple more posts throughout my time home before I return for Southampton.

Cheers!

The Royal Palace Bangkok

This is a must visit place if you are in Bangkok. We took a free cab ride here as we promised him to visit two shops en route to the palace. This is a common practice as they get paid to bring tourists to such outlets. It even helped him as we spent money at the first stop which is a tailor and ordered custom made clothes.

Upon arrival at the royal palace, I was mesmerize by its beauty. Let me quickly digress, you must be appropriately dress to visit this place which means no revealing clothings, no sleeveless and etc. Upon getting the tickets, we were given a small leaflet with a map of the place which details what each buildings were. I only remember the Emerald Buddha. Here are a few random pics that I have snapped around.

The Galleries

Upon exiting the Royal Palace, we wanted to visit the Reclining Buddha (Wat Po) but I thought we have grab a good deal when a Tuk Tuk driver offered us a deal we could not refuse. Eventually, we were took for a 1 hour ride when promised to visit 3 surrounding temples which I managed to have a picture taken at the first one before deciding to abandon him halfway.

I must be a record holder of the most vulnerable tourist or my details are kept in a database maintained by all scammers.

Well, at the end of the day, this are life enriching experiences that I do not regret.

We continued on shopping at Pratunam and ending our day at MBK.

That’s all for now.

That’s all for now.

Shopping in Bangkok

We finally split up from the tour group just before lunch time and headed back to the city center from the airport. After shower, we started our walk to MBK (a shopping center in Bangkok) in our cheap flip flops we bought in Pattaya for the beach. The heat made me drenched in sweat as a result of always being pampered with driving everywhere.

There is a new fancy international food court on the top floor serving Indian, Chinese & Greek to name a few. I decided to go for a Thai cuisine since I am already in Thailand.

A Fancy Phad Thai Dish

We continued on the day making a loop of the shopping district back to the hotel. Along the way, I almost falled for the Lucky Buddha tourist scam. Thanks to Song Yia who stopped it from happening as she researched it before our trip. Just be extra careful in Bangkok and do a quick searh using the keyword Bangkok Tourist Scam and you will find hours of interesting read.

The Shopping Stretch in Bangkok

For dinner, we decided to settle for Pizza which is just next door to the hotel.

A Simple Pizza Meal

We called it a day straight after dinner as our feet were really sore from the amount of walking.

That’s all for the moment!
